Today look up at the sky and see if you can find an Unidentified Flying Object. If so, you are one with the world. The first World UFO Day was celebrated in 2001. This day is to raise awareness about the existence of UFO’s and intelligent beings from outer space. In the past there were two days that were called World UFO day on July 2 and the June 24. The WUFODO (World UFO Day Organization) declared July 2 to be the official World UFO day. This was done to eliminate any confusion.

World UFO Day is to encourage governments to non -classify their knowledge about sightings throughout history. It is believed that many governments have exclusive information about UFO's through their military departments. A subject that still raises a lot of curiosity is the Roswell incident in 1947 when it was believed an UFO crashed in Roswell, New Mexico in June or July 1947. Since the late 1970s the incident has been the subject of intense controversy and of conspiracy theories as to the true nature of the object that crashed. The United States Armed Forces maintains that what was recovered was debris from an experimental high-altitude surveillance balloon belonging to a classified program named "Mogul" however, many UFO proponents maintain that an alien craft was found and its occupants were captured, and that the military then engaged in a cover-up.

Today is a good day to watch UFO movies together or even meditate in groups on the subject. The most important thing according to The World UFO Organization is that people open their minds to the subject for one day and send out the message mentally that UFO's are welcome on this earth.

The World UFO Day Organization also known as WUFODO and organizes get-togethers in many countries. If you would like to know if there is anything organized near you be sure to check out the World UFO Day Organization Website at
